Gallop Again
A sanctuary that helps horses "gallop again" into their future .....
Gallop Again News
April 2009
April is a busy month for Gallop Again. We took in Tiago on March 24th, he was an auction horse that was destined to fall into the hands
of a "kill buyer" and go to slaughter. We are working with him on ground rules right now. We also took in another horse on April 7th
named Daisey Mae, she was previously with Equine Angels Horse Rescue. We will be working with her hooves, she does not like them to
be touched.  She is a sweetie and we are enjoying working with her. She will also need some training, so we will be busy here.
Please join us while we do all we can to help these beautiful creatures. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate,
re-home and educate. We are located in SW Ohio. We also network with other horse rescues across the states.

We take in horses that are unwanted for any reason. And we also help owners network to find the perfect new
home for their horses. Please contact us for more information.

Daisey Mae and Tiago are coming along nicely. Daisey has gained 70 pounds, and Tiago is looking sleek and shiny. We are beginning to
work with handling their feet. Tiago and Daisey did well for their veterinarian exams. The vet believed that Tiago is around 6 years of age.
We have been contacted by many individuals about taking in horses, we will be looking for foster homes soon, if you are interested please
contact us :)

Wow, what a busy month. Horses to train and ride! Racket will be looking for an adoptive home soon. He is still gaining weight, but has
put on an estimated 150 pounds. He has been vetted, coggins tested and de-wormed. If you are interested in adopting him, please contact us.
Daisey Mae attended another riding lesson this month and she is doing very well.
Racket is a favorite at Gallop Again, his kind
heart touches everyone who meets him! He
has turned out to be a very gentle spirit....

After gaining 200 pounds!!
August 2009

As the horses are gaining weight and getting in shape, they are at weights now where they can be ridden. Racket is doing well under saddle
at a walk and trot. He has been started on a glucosamine supplement with MSM and we can see the difference already! Tiago is being
worked with on the ground and he is doing well with that. Racket is NOW available for adoption. Please email us for an adoption
application. His adoption fee is $400. He is a 23 year old Thoroughbred gelding. He would do great as a companion or walk/trot horse. He
will need to stay on a glucosamine supplement. A big thanks to Tom Irvin of Windy Hill Farm for donating 30 bales of hay to Gallop Again!
Smokey the Basset is available for adoption
from Sarah's Basset Rescue. Please email
prez74@hotmail.com if you are interested in
filling out an adoption application. His
adoption fee is $75.00 he is a 1 year old
beagle/basset mix. He is very sweet and
lovable. He is pictured to the left when he
attended a fundraiser with Gallop Again. He
is the doggie on the right.
Are you interested in taking riding lessons? Sarah is now offering riding lessons! She offers pony lessons starting for
children ages 4 and up. Also she offers beginner riding lessons and has bigger horses available to ride on. Please email
